With a little imagination, we can draw! During the coronavirus, I am drawing. I enjoy drawing because it is pleasant, calming, and relaxing.

Drawing has a lot of benefits. Three benefits are stress relief, improved creativity, and better mobility in your hands,. The first benefit is stress relief. Drawing helps with stress relief because with the mind and body relaxed, you can function better. Drawing also helps you leave your fears and put fun and excitement in your mind. Stress relief is important because it takes your mind off something if you’re worried. The second benefit is improving creativity. Drawing improves creativity because you use your imagination by looking around you. This is important because if you don’t know what to draw, you can draw something random, and that improves creativity. The last benefit is better mobility in your hands. Drawing helps with mobility because you might need to use different tools like markers or colored pencils. This is important because different people use different tools to draw. Drawing is good for me because it helps me relax and calm down. If I am worried about something, I like to sit down and draw.

If you don't know exactly what you want to draw you can start off like a line and then connect the dots. You can draw animals or a person or living things. And then you can just connect the dots. People might not have the same utensils, but the materials you might use to draw are chalk, dry erase markers, colored pencils, crayons, and even rocks! Grab any utensil, and you can draw the first thing that comes into your mind!

The first drawing was made 73,000 years ago in a cave by using an iron tip of a rock and dragging it against another rock. They didn't have the same utensils as us back then. They took a feather dipped in ink to draw, and for paint they used crushed berries, twigs and probably even dirt and sand or shells. Today, we have Sharpies, markers, colored pencils, crayons, tape, and glue, all utensils that you can use in your drawings. What are some of your favorite utensils you use to draw?

When you first start drawing, you see some utensils, and you might think you don't know what to do with these. Artists, or people who are very good at drawing, sometimes don't really know what to do either. Some other people might know what their intentions are, but they're not super good at drawing. People who are super good at drawing, know exactly what to do. They might be a pro or a master of the art of drawing. Some people might not be good at drawing, but that doesn’t mean they are not artists! It’s okay if you’re not the best at drawing, but that doesn’t mean you are not an artist.

The reason why I picked this activity to do during the COVID-19 crisis, is because it is fun and very relaxing. It keeps my mind off being stressed about friends getting the sickness or me maybe getting the sickness. Drawing can help you relax and keep your mind off the sickness. COVID-19 requirements are to stay indoors and keep safe. Some people like to play basketball, others like to do a lot of other activities, but I like to draw. You can draw too! With a little imagination, we can all draw during this COVID-19 pandemic.
