Dear Parents/Carers,

On Monday, Year 1 and 2 participated in a football activity organised and run by Greenacre School. The field was a mass of kicking, dribbling, football skills and goal scoring - even Mrs Howard was a goal keeper at one point! The children had an amazing experience and we are sure they slept well when they went home. Thank you to the Greenacre staff for supporting and facilitating this event for the children. Year 4 enjoyed an afternoon of art working on their final art piece - they did a wash with a watercolour first and will then be adding a collage over the top of it. We look forward to seeing the finished pieces! 

On Tuesday, the sun was shining and the day started with Years 1 - 6 participating in our weekly singing assembly - it is always lovely hearing the children, especially if it is a catchy song that they know already! Our children in the Rock Steady band performed their spring concert to their parents and carers - rock stars of the future! Year 3 were peer assessing each others writing in English and provided constructive feedback on how to make improvements. 

The morning on Wednesday commenced with our celebration assembly for the Headteacher Awards - well done to all the children that received one of these awards this term. Year 4 had their final swimming lesson of the year and it has been lovely to see the amazing progress they have made since they started. Year 5 will start their swimming sessions after the Easter break. 

On Thursday, our fantastic PTA organised our annual Easter Egg hunt which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children despite the rainy weather. We really do appreciate all the time and effort they put in, for free, to organise and run these events for our children - thank you ,PTA! 

There is no Friday for us this week due to it being Good Friday - we would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter break and thank you all for your continued support this term.
