The aim of this work package is to produce a good practice guide on the application of the digital impedance bridges and the reference standards developed in Work Package 2 towards the realisation of inductance and capacitance scales in the ranges 1 mH - 10 H and 1 nF - 10 μF, respectively, and a software tool for modelling uncertainties.
The guide will contain a detailed description of the hardware and software components of the digital bridges developed in Work Package 2, including requirements for connections and adapters employed within the measurement setups. Recommendations will be based on the realisation of the inductance scale in the range 1 mH - 10 H, with relative uncertainties in the 10-5 range and the capacitance scale in the range 1 nF - 10 μF, with relative uncertainties in the 10-6 range at frequencies in the range 120 Hz - 1592 Hz. To facilitate development of the new or/and improved CMCs for the new inductance and capacitance capabilities, a software tool will be developed and guidelines on modelling of the measurement uncertainty will be provided in Task 3.1.
The consistently and clearly written guide will assist both partners and other stakeholders such as developing NMIs/DIs and accredited calibration centres in the establishment of the new inductance and capacitance measurement capabilities.
