IPQ’s primary laboratory for electrical units maintains quantum electrical standards and works with AC standards, mainly thermal converters. As a result of its recent participation in the EMPIR JRP 14RPT01 ACQ-PRO, IPQ has established a strategy for the implementation of an AC Quantum Voltage Standard. Due to the very restricted range values in the CMC declarations in impedance measurements, IPQ is also committed to develop a midterm strategy suitable for primary dissemination of inductance and capacitance scales, towards Portuguese industry and calibration accredited laboratories. During the VersICaL project IPQ will produce a design for digital impedance bridge(s) to meet its needs under Work Package 2 and will produce guidelines on the realisation of inductance and capacitance scales using digital techniques within Work Package 3.
