The state of California requires all public school programs to assess their learners annually. Your child’s participation helps our program stay in good standing with the state, our authorizing district (Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District), our accreditor (WASC), and charter school support networks (CCSA).

The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Growth assessments are computerized, norm-based adaptive benchmark tests in Language Arts and Math. These tests are taken twice a year in Fall and Spring by all our learners in TK-12th grade.
The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) assessments are statewide summative tests in the areas of language arts, math and science(CAST). These tests are taken in the Spring by learners in 3-8th, and 11th grade.
The California Science Test (CAST) is an online assessment based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). This test is taken in the Spring by learners in 5th, 8th, and one time in high school.
The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is a comprehensive, health-related physical fitness test for students in California. This test is taken by learners in 5th, 7th, and 9th grade.
The English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) is California’s assessment system that is used to determine the English language proficiency of learners whose primary language is not English. The ELPAC assesses four domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
