Arena

L'Arena di Verona è un antico anfiteatro di origine romana. Si trova nel centro storico della città di Verona ed è uno dei principali e maggiori monumenti che caratterizzano l'originaria architettura romana. L'Arena, in passato, era situata fuori dalle mura cittadine per una migliore circolazione degli spettatori e per rendere il centro accessibile a tutti.

Al centro dell'Arena, nella parte detta "arena" perché c'era la sabbia utilizzata per assorbire il sangue dei combattenti e degli animali, si svolgevano gli spettacoli. Nel corso del tempo questo anfiteatro è stato utilizzato per diversi scopi, ad esempio come cava di marmo.

Oggi l'Arena è utilizzata per concerti estivi e come teatro. E' possibile visitare l'interno con un biglietto che costa € 10,00 oppure con un biglietto ridotto (MiDA ticket: verona.midaticket.it/Event/3/Dates/).

D'estate l'Arena ospita concerti come l'Opera Festival e il "Power Hits Estate". Durante i concerti ci sono 22.000 posti a sedere per gli spettatori.

Les Arènes de Vérone sont un ancien amphithéâtre d'origine romaine.  Ce monument est situé dans le centre historique de la ville de Vérone et est l'un des principaux et des plus grands monuments qui caractérisent l'architecture romaine.

Les Arènes, dans le passé, étaient situées à l'extérieur des murs de la ville pour une meilleure circulation des spectateurs et pour assurer que le centre soit accessible à tous.

Au centre des Arènes, dans la partie appelée harena car il y avait du sable utilisé pour absorber le sang des combattants et des animaux, se déroulaient des spectacles.  Au fil du temps, cet amphithéâtre a été utilisé à des fins différentes, notamment comme carrière demarbre.

Aujourd hui les Arènes sont utilisées pour les concerts d'été et comme théatre. Il est possible de visiter l'intérieur avec un billet qui coute €10,00 ou avec un billet réduit (MiDA ticket: verona.midaticket.it/Event/3/Dates/).

En été les Arènes accueillent des concerts: le Festival de l'opéra et des festivals et concours de musique pop. Pendant les concerts, il y a 22.000 places pour les spectateurs.

Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheatre located in the historic centre of Verona. It is one of the largest monuments that have characterized the Roman architecture in the city. This amphitheater wasn’t always in the center: once it was just outside the walls of the ancient town in order to facilitate the movement of the spectators and to avoid crowding congestion.

The Arena was used for entertaining shows, which were held in the center of the amphitheater in the area called "harena" for the presence of sand, which was used to absorb the blood shed by men and animals. Over the centuries the arena has been used for various purposes, even as a stone quarry.

Today the Arena is used for summer concerts and as a theatre. It is possible to visit the interior with a ticket that costs €10.00 or concessions (MiDA ticket: verona.midaticket.it/Event/3/Dates/).

In summer the arena hosts two types of concerts, operas and pop music gigs.
