About the Programme
This is a Masters programme in Mathematics. This programme is worth 64 credits. The programme content is offered in 4 semesters. In the first two semesters there are core Mathematics courses. In the next two semesters, you will study courses that teach you applications of Mathematics to other areas of Computer Science.
Objectives
- to emphasise the relevance and usefulness of mathematics from an application point of view;
- to equip the learners with the core mathematical knowledge and training necessary for use in many application areas;
- to expose the learner to real-life problems and promote the use of mathematics in industry and applied sciences;
- to develop human resource in emerging disciplines such as Mathematical Biology, Computational Mathematics, etc.

- It is offered at seven centres in India.

Eligibility Criterion
- A B.Sc/B.A graduate with a Major/Honours in Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- If seats remain vacant, students who have a B.Sc/B.A degree in which they have studied three subjects with equal weightage. These students are eligible for admission to post graduate programmes in their university in any of the three subjects they have studied.
