The project 2022-1-ES01-KA131-HED-000058850, framed within the Erasmus+ program, focuses on the mobility of Higher Vocational Education and Training students and staff at IES Sancti Petri. Its main goal is to foster the internationalization of our educational community by enriching both the academic and professional development of participants. Through these mobilities, we aim to enhance cultural understanding and global perspectives while also improving participants’ English language and digital skills, which are essential for success in today’s globalized and technology-driven world.
For students, the project provides the opportunity to complete internships in prestigious scientific and professional centers across Europe. These experiences allow them to acquire advanced technical knowledge and broaden their skills in key areas, improving their employability in a region with a high unemployment rate. By engaging with high-level work environments and cutting-edge technologies, students are better prepared to meet the demands of both local and international job markets.
The mobility of teaching staff is also a key component, with the goal of gaining first-hand knowledge of European vocational training systems, particularly the dual model that combines classroom learning with practical training in companies. This experience helps teachers to update their methodologies and better align with the current labor market needs. Additionally, the project strengthens our network of connections with European companies and educational institutions, supporting the continuous improvement of our vocational programs in automotive, electricity, and healthcare.
