On October 17 and 18, the international conference Erasmus Scientific Days ('Cooperation and Research for Higher Education and Innovation') was held in Marrakech, with more than 150 participants from 30 countries across Europe, America, Asia, and Africa.
The Erasmus Scientific Days are innovation days aimed at creating synergies between the fields of scientific research and education.
The conference covered five main topics:
Learning and teaching practices.
Digitalization and the use of technology in education.
Inclusion, mobility, and internationalization.
Entrepreneurship and employability.
Governance and management.
The main objectives were:
To promote the results of Erasmus+ projects, and identify and disseminate good practices.
To bring together researchers and educators, institutions, and organizations working for and in higher education to present innovative initiatives and research.
To share knowledge related to higher education and scientific research.
To establish a network and strengthen collaborations for innovative perspectives in higher education.
To create synergies between Erasmus+ projects and other cooperation programs.
Our colleague Inés Montero had the opportunity to attend and present an oral communication about a study conducted at our school, IES Sancti Petri, titled Self-reported impact of Erasmus+ mobilities on Sancti Petri students. The study highlights some of the benefits that vocational training students perceive after completing an international Erasmus+ mobility, such as improvements in linguistic, personal, and professional skills.
As a result of our participation in the conference, an article was published in the Proceedings of the Erasmus Scientific Days 2022 (ESD 2022). Series: Atlantis Highlights in Social Sciences, Education and Humanities. Atlantis Press.

TCA SEVILLE TRAINING ACTIVITY
Our school participated in the TCA activity (Training and Cooperation Activities) organized by SEPIE, titled 'Civic participation and EU values. Make Europe shine!', held in Seville from April 3 to 5. This training activity, dedicated to civic participation and common European values, was attended by participants from Erasmus+ projects (teachers, trainers, students) and staff from National Agencies from over 20 countries. Several activities were carried out, including presentations, workshops, good practice presentations, visits to educational centers, and cultural activities.
During this TCA activity, the main challenges related to democratic civic participation were analyzed, especially among young people, such as the lack of interest in voting in elections or actively participating in the democratic sphere. Thanks to the various presentations, we learned about different organizations that promote civic engagement, political participation, and European citizenship through the Erasmus+ Program, such as PEACE (Participation Erasmus Alumni for Civil Engagement), SALTO (Support, Advanced Learning and Training Opportunities), and the Erasmus+ EuroApprentices ambassador network.
Through various workshops, we reflected on this issue and debated the best ways to encourage civic engagement and involvement in democratic processes among young people through the Erasmus+ program. In this regard, we were presented with inspiring examples of good practices from various educational centers in Estonia, Sweden, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain within the Erasmus program in KA1 and KA2 projects. Additionally, we received training on the use of various communication techniques and dissemination tools, including artificial intelligence applications, which will allow us to more effectively promote European values and the opportunities of the Erasmus+ program within our educational community.
As part of the activity 'Erasmus goes to town!', we visited the IES Santa Aurelia Educational Center, where we were informed about the educational levels it offers (secondary education, basic, intermediate, and higher vocational training, including a group of students with special needs) and the Erasmus+ projects in which they participate, related to both teacher and student mobilities, both short and long-term. We had the opportunity to speak with students and hear their impressions and experiences.
Finally, the program also included several cultural activities, such as a visit to the Royal Alcázar and attendance at the Erasmus+ Orchestra Concert at the FIBES Conference Center, as part of the Erasmus+ Meeting: Dissemination of European Values.
We thank the SEPIE National Agency for the invitation to participate in this activity, where we were able to connect with other European educational centers and gain a deep understanding of the issue of the lack of democratic participation, as well as ways to address it through the Erasmus+ program. This experience has motivated our educational center, IES Sancti Petri, to further commit to promoting democratic participation among young people and to implement innovative initiatives to achieve this goal through the Erasmus+ program.

III Meeting for the dissemination of Erasmus+ projects organized by the Teacher Training Center (CEP) of Cádiz.
On May 22, 2024, our school had the opportunity to participate in the III Meeting for the dissemination of Erasmus+ projects organized by the Teacher Training Center (CEP) of Cádiz. These sessions served to share experiences from the schools participating in Erasmus+ and to reflect on various aspects related to the projects. First, the videos prepared by the different schools about the activities during the 2023-2024 academic year within the Erasmus+ program were shown. This is the video prepared by our school, which summarizes all the activities we have carried out at IES Sancti Petri.
Subsequently, various topics were addressed in workshops, such as the dissemination of projects through the creation of podcasts, the curricular integration of Erasmus+ projects with joint contributions on a virtual Padlet wall, and the development of intercultural competencies through the visual thinking technique.
