Elisa's students in 2º ESO D completed a project in which they explained remarkable identities (algebraic formulas) in English. Each student or group was assigned one of the three main formulas and had to present it clearly, either through spoken explanation or using subtitles.
The aim of the project was to combine mathematical understanding with English communication skills. Students demonstrated their knowledge by explaining how the formula works and, in some cases, providing examples to support their explanation. This activity encouraged both subject comprehension and the use of English as a working language in a mathematical context.
This project, carried out by teachers Teresa and Manuel, focuses on a journey through the most important artistic styles of the 19th century. Students explored the origins, main characteristics, and key artists and artworks of each movement.
Different groups were assigned a specific artistic style, such as Modernism, Iron Architecture, Symbolism, Realism, and Romanticism. Each group researched and presented their findings entirely in English.
The final outcome of the project is displayed in the ground floor corridor, just in front of the staff room, allowing the whole school community to engage with the students’ work.
