Our adventure started very early, leaving from Málaga to Bristol at 10:20 in the morning. Moreover, they began to explore Totnes with their host families.
Sunday was the big day in which we were able to discover London, also with some fun. Once again, Jamie livened up our day by telling us the history of this emblematic city. We had free time and were able to visit neighborhoods such as Covent Garden. We also went to the best-known places in the city such as Big Ben, Westminster, Buckingham Palace or the London Eye, among others.
The next day, we had our first English classes at school and most of the time we enjoyed a wonderful sunshine.
That same afternoon we were able to learn first-hand all the history and curiosities of Totnes thanks to a tour offered to us by the school teachers.
That same day, the students also participated in some games organised by the teachers from the English school.
On Tuesday, continuing with our routine, the students first went to their English lessons and then they participated in their afternoon activities.
In this case, the afternoon activities consisted of making a trip to Dartmoor National Park and to Widecombe-in-the-Moor Village.
In Dartmoor, they learnt a bit about the natural history of Devon. And after a bit of walking and enjoying nature, we visited Widecombe, its beautiful church and then we sat down at a café where most of us tried a cream tea, typical from the area.
Wednesday was a really fun day. After the English classes, we went for a walk by the River Dart and visited the astonishing Dartington Hall with its English atmosphere.
There, the students enjoyed its beautiful gardens and discovered some interesting structures where they could emit a sound and it bounced back to them. They all were quite surprised about it.
On Thursday, our students said goodbye to their host families and headed for the final time to their school in Totnes. From there, we caught a bus to Bristol Airport in order to take our flight back to Malaga.
They will always have an unforgettable memory of this trip to the UK.
