We celebrated Halloween this year by turning our school into a spooky graveyard filled with creative tombstones. In the library, our students took part in several Addams Family–themed challenges, where they had to solve riddles and follow clues to find Thing, the missing hand. It was a thrilling adventure for everyone! 🕸️🖤
We celebrated Thanksgiving with a new set of interactive challenges in which our students uncovered the real story behind the holiday. They followed clues, solved tasks, and watched a special performance featuring a Native American chief, which brought the experience to life. It was an engaging and meaningful activity for everyone! 🦃🍁
During the Christmas season, our school organised an inclusive activity to celebrate both Christmas and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, in which students took part in different challenges related to visual impairment to promote empathy, respect and inclusion. In collaboration with the Bilingual Department, several activities were carried out in English, allowing students to practise the language in a meaningful context while reflecting on the importance of diversity and equal opportunities.
We celebrated the international day of women & science by making posters of well-known female scientists who have been making great contributions to the world and have set an example for future generations of girls who are interested in science. Our students characterised themselves as these women and told the others about their contributions so they could get to know them. At the end, students had to vote for the best portrayal. It was enriching and inspiring!
We celebrated the international women's day by encouraging our own female students to create posters about themselves so they can set an example for future generations of female students at the school. The final result was outstanding!
We celebrated world book day in many different ways. Teacher Cristina read Tolkien in class and they also listened to songs from The Hobbit movie franchise.
At the same time, the bilingual coordinator and teachers Ana Corpas and Jennifer Medina created a storyteller experience for students in 1º ESO, who sat in the library and heard older students read original stories in Spanish, English and French.
Our language assistant, Jeniffer, gave a lecture about bullying in the USA, promoting debate in all of our classes and raising awareness about this problem.
