communicate. It looks simple, but it is actually one of the most difficult activities for a student. To become a good writer requires time, training and discipline, besides a bit of natural talent.

Our aim is not to become a writer, but to be able to combine sentences to create a fairly understandable text. Therefore, here you'll find some useful tips:

• Content:
  • Be clear and include all the ideas that are required.
  • Think on the reader and try to make your text interesting to read.
• Presentation:
  • Be neat and tidy
  • Avoid crossing out (out)
  • Order your ideas into clearly seen paragraphs
  • Keep your margins (2,5 cm. all around)
• Vocabulary:
  • Try to use a wide variety of words
  • Avoid repetition (use pronouns, synonyms...)
  • Use adjectives to describe nouns
  • Use adverbs to describe actions
  • Watch your spelling
• Grammar:
  • Always write a subject for your sentences
  • Remember that adjectives come before nouns in English
  • Think on the appropriate tenses you need
• Fluency:
  • Combine short and long sentences
  • Use linking words (and, but, because, so that... )
  • Use punctuation signs properly (commas, full stops, ... )
