TASK 1: MAKING PREDICTIONS

Have a look at these predictions for the future:

  • We'll use robots in our daily live
  • Cars won't just use the road, they will also fly.
  • Schools will exist, but many students will learn online.
  • We'll find new forms of energy.

How do you feel about them?

  • How do you feel about using robots in our daily life?
  • How do you feel about travelling in a flying car?
  • How do you feel about learning online?
  • How do you feel about finding new forms of energy?

Sample answers:

  • Both my partner and I feel excited about using robots in our daily live.
  • I feel nervous about travelling in a flying car, but my partner feels scared about it.
Notice that we use "both" when my partner and I agree on something and "but" when there is a contrast.
