Our time in history can be characterized as confusing and turbulent. The progress of transportation and information technology has resulted in what we today call Globalization. Any event that is taking place in one part of the world can very easily affect our lives the very next moment. Boundaries are mostly typical now, and we cannot hide behind them. Having these in mind, our duty is to hold a rightful perception of reality, since there are several parties that will attempt to distort the reality, while serving their own interests and strategies. We must adopt critical thinking, maintain our own ideas and intellectual integrity, while we put effort not to become misinformed by mass media. Thinking critically offers several intellectual tools concerning perception and principles , that increase effective thinking, analysis and assessment.
