Before the mobility, the students were searching for information and rehearsing with several teachers the exhibitions they would give in Barcelos about the environmental heritage of the area.
The first day of mobility we were visiting the school facilities, visiting the classrooms, we learned how the mechanics cycle worked, we had lunch in the canteen... and then we toured the streets of Barcelos where they explained its history and all the monumental heritage to us.
To finish the work day, our students explained to the Portuguese students what they had worked on during the course on the environment.
In addition, we have to thank the welcome at the city hall and especially the host families, with whom we lived together that night in the school.
On Tuesday, during the day, we attended a conference organized by the Alcaides da Farias Institute, about the environmental resources of the area and the involvement of the people who work in the organization and their tasks.
Next, to further involve the students in Portuguese culture, they visited the ceramics museum and held a workshop, making them participate in what they learned.
The next day, our Erasmus group enjoyed the environmental heritage of the area up close and learned the history of the beginnings of Barcelos, thus fulfilling one of our objectives.
They started the day by visiting the Castro San Lorenzo Interpretation Center where you can see how the ancient settlers lived and the Galician control point. Then they walked along the Cavado River, on one side of the Fáo River and on the other Esposende, and ended up visiting Viana do Castelo and its costume museum, falling more in love with Portuguese culture.
To finish this mobility, the students visited Porto to learn about the city's historical and cultural heritage. Among the activities they carried out were: boat ride on the Duero River, visit to the Clérigos tower, and among others, enjoying good music next to the Lello bookstore.
The students enjoyed the Erasmus + experience until the last minute and all the cultural enrichment it is bringing them.
During this mobility with our regular companion, Alcaide da Farias, we have worked on the environment, heritage, practiced languages orally and in writing, interculturality, etc... but above all we have enjoyed and lived with families, obtaining an experience that will remain in your memory forever thanks to Erasmus +.
