This is is a SPECIAL GROUP MOBILITY that has not followed the usual procedures, as it was directly offered to our partners and us by the European Comission. It was shared with the Swedish High School of Ronneby
OBJECTIVES
These are the objectives of this group mobility:
To know the European Institutions and their influence in our lives
To have the opportunity of an educational exchange with a Swedish group of students about topics related to education, each one's culture and nowaday's hot topics.
To improve communicative competence and to improve their knowledge of the English language, in particular, given that English is the vehicular language.
To develop social and civic competence, developing students' autonomy in order to become citizens of the 21st century.
To learn about different cultures and become respectful citizens.
To enrich their curriculum thanks to the different guided visits related to the European Institutions, and also architecture, art and history of Belgium.
PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES
There were shared activities with the Sweden groups and others which were specific to our group.
Shared activities: Visit to the city of Brussels, visit to the European Parliament, visit to the European House of History, Exchange meeting, visit to the European Comission
Specific activities: visit to Gent and Brugge, visit to the Magritte and Music Museums (Brussels). Reflection on sustainable transportation (Carbon FootPrint) . Dissemination activities
MONDAY 6 Train trip and arrival

First of all, we visited the city of Brussels.
Visit to the European Parliament. Meeting with an MP.
Visit to the European House of History (Temporay exhibition - Recycling)
Exchange Meeting with Swedish students from Ronneby.
WEDNESDAY 8
Morning: Gent and Gent's Castle
Afternoon: Brugge (places of interest + self guided tour)
THURSDAY 9
Visit to the European Comission. Explanation by a member of the European Comission (M. Lorenzo Rosatti). Meeting with an MP and her team
Afternoon: visit to the Magritte Museum. Surrealism.
Visit to the city of Brussels - part 2
FRIDAY 10
Visit to the Museum of Music (Music, Folklore, Art Deco)
Plane trip and return
STUDENTS' PRODUCTION
Students made Oral Presentations in front of their group and other classes to show the different aspects of the trip, accompanied by visuals, and written reflections on sustainable transport. The whole project also accounted for a substantial part of their final mark in English.
