This is a group mobility programme which involves an exchange project with the Gymnasium am Oelberg, located in the town of Königswinter in Bonn, Oberpleis, Germany. A group of 9 high school students from both schools participated in this exchange.

These are the objectives os this group mobility:
Improving communicative competence, particularly in the English language, as English is the working language of the program.
Developing social and civic competencies, fostering student autonomy to become citizens of the 21st century.
Learning from different cultures so that they can become respectful citizens.
Enriching their curriculum through various guided visits related to German history.
PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES
Both during our stay in Germany and the German group's stay in the Basque Country, the activity structure was similar. During our stay in Bonn, we visited various iconic places in the surrounding areas, all centered around the recent history of the country.
On the first day, we had the opportunity to visit the host school and attended some lessons. Later, we explored the surroundings of Königswinter, including the two nearby castles, Drachenfels and Drachenburg, as well as the Rhine river bank area
The second day was dedicated to visiting more classes and the private residence of Konrad Adenauer, the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, located in a neighboring town. It was a perfect opportunity to learn about the history of Bonn and Germany in the early years following World War II.
On the third day, we explored the city of Bonn. First, we visited the German History Museum of the 20th century, where we gained in-depth knowledge of the events from 1945 to the early 2000s through a guided tour. Later, we took a tour of the Rhine river bank and the historical center of Bonn, concluding with a visit to Beethoven's former private residence, now transformed into a museum showcasing his life and work.
On the fourth day, we traveled to the city of Cologne and visited its historical center and impressive Gothic cathedral. After exploring the cathedral, we visited the Olympic Museum, which displays a diverse collection of sports-related objects illustrating the history of the Olympic Games (ancient and modern). We also had the opportunity to engage in various sports activities in the interactive areas of the museum.
Finally, on Friday, the host school organized two workshops for us: one on theater and another one on Rhineland culture. After the workshops, we went on a walking trip and climbed Mount Oelberg, after which the German school is named.l. From there, we enjoyed panoramic views of the nearby Rhine river banks near Bonn and Cologne.
