On Tuesday February, the 11th, 2020, Ditmas Staff and students wore “blue” as a visual representation and inspiration for a school focus on peace and Anti-bullying behavior.
On Tuesday February, the 11th, 2020, Ditmas Staff and students wore “blue” as a visual representation and inspiration for a school focus on peace and Anti-bullying behavior.
Lessons in the classroom and student social discussion resonated that theme. The Talent Tech inquiring reporters spoke with a mix of adult staff and students who shared their experiences with bullying and the impact of those experiences on their lives.
Wednesday the 12th found staff and students deliberately celebrating Rainbow Colors with a variety of tee shirts and head accessories. Most important, the conversation and affirmation of Gender Identity, Sexual orientation and LGBTQ Pride infused student talk and classroom forums. The sense of community was palpable throughout the building.

The 7th grade was treated to a variety of different speakers ranging from actors to chefs. It was received very well from all the feedback we received from the students.
