From Grzlecki’s Classroom Door to Fordham’s Rosehill Campus Gates-
How 606 Traveled to Fordham Campus after winning the Classroom door contest!
Our trip to Fordham University was not what I expected. I just expected a normal campus, a regular campus. But it was way beyond what I expected. We went there for a trip because we had won the door decorating contest.
While we had researched Fordham and heard about it from Mr. Grzelecki, the trip to the actual Fordham Rosehill Campus was far beyond our digital research.
Normal campuses do not have churches on campus. The buildings were not modern. They seemed to come from medieval times. It was a grassy campus. The buildings were made of stone.We saw the dorms. They were normal rooms, but they had more window space. They did not look as modern as other schools. I personally liked the older look.
We saw the students and a swimming pool area. In addition we went to the computer lab. It was very quiet. It had a sense of calm.
As we walked along, Mr. Grzlecki told us how he was a very good student at Fordham. He enjoyed visiting all the natural parts of the campus such as the trees and the grass. He studied out there.
As a student of sixth grade, this trip made me think a great deal more about what colleges I want to goto in the future. I hope someday it will be my turn to guide sixth graders around the campus. (Written by Jesus A - 606)
