I thought really hard and thought should I tell my friends or not, eventually I told some of my friends and they appreciated me. I was really happy and thankful, I still didn’t come out to my parents since I’m too scared but maybe in the future I will. ☺️
In my opinion I think the people in our world are not only racist but also scared. People are scared because they don’t know if the LGBTQ+ people are a women or a man.
For centuries, the human society has stereotyped standards for both male and female individuals. Of course, this had an effect on the LGBTQ+ community since they were taught to follow those standards as they were the “right” thing to do. They felt out of place since many people would automatically assume the gender of someone, strictly limited male of female.
There was no room for transgender, intersex, or bisexual people since people would typically be recognized by the two groups known as male and female. Even today, oppression and misjudgment towards the LGBTQ+ community continues since they are seen as inhuman or lesser than human.
We are so eager to categorize someone into a gender at first glance. We can’t look at someone without assuming their gender. It’s just our nature. Even so, we should still have respect. We should still accept them and embrace them or at least let them fulfill their desires freely.
Their life is not in our hands, we can’t control them and force them to do something they don’t want to do! In my religion, people can not be part of the LGBTQ community, this is the case in a lot of religions!
But, my mom says we still have to respect the people in the LGBTQ community. We can’t judge them just because they are different.
I support these people fighting for what they want to be and want to do.
Though it's very dangerous since people can start killing them with dangerous weapons such as guns, there own physical body, ect. Those people who killed an LGBTQ+ person should be charged since they are killing someone that is innocent. What if they got killed?
Also, alot of people don't know that they know someone who is part of that community. The reason for that is because a person that is part of the LGBTQ+ community doesn't want to get harmed by someone.
Many people make fun of the LGBTQ+ community which in my opinion isn't fair since it get's so stressful when someone is being made fun of.
It gets too stressful when everyone knows they are part of the LGBTQ+ community that they want to harm themselves. Schools and society should start learning more about these people in order to learn how to get along with them later on in the future.
They should just try to respect them even if they don't like them. Soon, they will learn how to become respectful and even meet a new friend. Also, society should stop trying to harm anyone from the LGBTQ+ community since that can lead to more protests from the LGBTQ+ community.
After reading the article, I wasn’t shocked. Now with everything that’s happening, and police showing their true sides, I assumed that police would also be against the LGBTQIA+ community.
And I was right. But isn’t that sad?
And it’s really not their business to know any of that because it’s something personal. I might not know what the hate feels like, but I’ve seen it happen. And it is disgusting.
For example a South Korea protest used candles and no fighting or fires.
Protests has gone a long way because protests are progressively getting nicer for example, South Korea did a protest using candles and songs with no harm.
I think it is important for people to know about stone wall and to know that people are still suffering all around the world. Here in New York we have so much more freedom about our sexuality and gender while in some country's it is illegal to be gay.
i feel like LGBTQ+ people should be respected and be able to do what they like other are not supposed to choose what we like so why should we choose what they like?
My thoughts are that it's not right for people in the LGBTQ+ community have to face this just because their "different".
however , if someone doesn't support LGBTQ+ then they shouldn't disrespect them or treat them differently , just leave them alone .
Everyone is human, there isn't a group that's basic, elite, trash or anything like that! It's like saying you grab a book and don't want to read it because it's cover is torn and ripped.
That doesn't matter! What matter's is the story it tell's. Every person in your life is a reader in your book, when one rips your pages do you end your story? End your chapter? No! You keep writing, and never stop! People are allowed to like the same gender, or dress as the opposite one! People may disagree with me, I'm not saying you have to agree.
Just because some people spread rumors about you or share negative comments about or to you that's life.
Who cares if others are bullies right? That's my word I would want to spread because I have watched many youtubers who are in the LGBTQ+ community and I absolutely adore them!
Just because someone wants to be themselves doesn't mean you can go around and hurt them for that. I think that the whole lgbtq+ community has a lot of nice and different people. They all have their own stories to tell, like how they even became(trans, gay, lesbian, bi).
And to be honest they're wayyy more interesting than straight people(and bullies).
Yet there are thousands of people who are stronger than any harsh words or despicable deeds. In a time where I was confused and miserable when I was trying to figure myself out, complete strangers gave me comfort and reassurance. I found solace in this community of wonderful people.
I've had disgusting things said to me, and they would have effected me two years ago. But now, I simply could not care less, and it's one of the most amazing feelings in the world. I recently came out to my brother, and the absolute joy that filled me when he called me a "pancake" is like nothing else.
I'm slowly but surely making my way to a place to where I can state my sexuality without fear. Pride month is a month to celebrate who we are and all we've been through. Right now, it wouldn't be appropriate to do so in such a large capacity as we've done before. There are bigger things that need our attention at the moment.
No one should be mistreated because of something they can't control.
