Night Poems
Note that Astronomy is generally taught by a guest astronomer and/or the director with an instructor as an assistant. On a night with any stars at all, we spend most of the time outside observing stars, planets, constellations, shooting stars and more. We tell a legend or two, and sometimes there are telescopes or binoculars for viewing specific night sky objects. In the event of rain, we do have some optional other activities shown below!
Moon Phases Lesson (5-day weeks only)
This is a great lesson! We generally divide the students into 3 large groups and each group is taught by an instructor (indoors)
Solar System Rescue is an interactive video game played in groups - it's old, but the kids like it!
More notes on Solar System Rescue - it's on a Video Disc (I told you it was old!)
