Where should you apply to college? 

As you decide where to apply, keep in mind that no single college is right for everyone. To make your decision, consider “college fit”: how well a school meets your academic, financial, and social needs. Here are some factors to keep in mind:

Academic needs:

• GPA and test scores required

• Programs and majors offered

Financial needs:

• Cost and debt

• Graduation rates

• Job placement rates

• Graduates’ average salaries

Social needs:

• Size and location

• Diversity

• Extracurricular activities

• Student-to-faculty ratio

• Housing options

Virtual College Coach Program from Iowa College Aid

Virtual assistance appointments are now available! Students can learn more about our virtual assistance programs here. They can schedule an appointment here to receive assistance with any of the following: FAFSA completion, college applications, financial aid offers, scholarships, etc. Students can also opt-in to the texting program to receive nudges and ask specific questions throughout the college-going process.
