WHEN AM I CONSIDERED OFFICIALLY ENROLLED?
Only those who have paid their tuition fee and confirmed by Finance will be considered as Officially Enrolled. Hence, they are the only ones who can push through with their internship. Official Receipts will be issued on the date when Finance validates the transaction and will not be based on the date when the deposit was made.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT ABLE TO PAY WITHIN THE ENROLLMENT PERIOD?
If the student has enlisted and did not push through with his/her internship, his/her enlisted subject will be deleted due to non-payment of tuition on/before the first day of classes of the Term. Hence, he/she will be required to repeat his/her enlistment if he/she still intends to enroll for the Term and a late enrollment fee will be charged.
I HAVE PRIOR INTERNSHIP / EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE, CAN IT BE CREDITED TOWARDS MY INTERNSHIP SUBJECT?
Enrollment is required before we can start counting the hours being rendered in a company. This means that previous employment cannot be considered as an internship.
I AM CURRENTLY EMPLOYED IN A COMPANY, CAN IT SERVE AS MY INTERNSHIP HOST COMPANY?
If the company’s nature of business and/or the role that you are required to perform in the company is related to your degree program’s specialization, then we can consider the hours that you will render there as part of internship. Still, you will need to follow the same documentary requirements as other students who will render their internship.
I AM NOT SURE IF THE COMPANY I AM EMPLOYED AT CAN BE CONSIDERED AS MY INTERNSHIP HOST COMPANY, WHO CAN I CONSULT WITH?
You may consult with the External Linkages Department at externallinkages@iacademy.edu.ph and your Program Chairperson.
WHAT IS THE EARLY APPLICATION PERIOD?
This period allows the student to apply to companies at an earlier schedule prior to the term that they will have their Internship. Students will be asked to accomplish a Google Form where pertinent application information will be asked so that the Internship and Placement Office can endorse their applications to relevant industry partners.
WHEN IS THE EARLY APPLICATION PERIOD?
It starts around 1-2 months before the Regular Enrollment period.
HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR THE EARLY APPLICATION PERIOD?
a. Students will be asked to accomplish a Google form and submit the required documents:
Form 2.2 Internship Application Form (see attached template)
Resume (formal and creative)
Cover letter template
Portfolio/Demo Reel Link
b. BS REM Fast Track students are not required to accomplish this form, but can start applying to companies if not yet presently employed.
WHAT IF I SUBMIT AFTER THE DEADLINE FOR THE EARLY APPLICATION PERIOD?
The Google form will still accept responses until the end of the term. We will constantly update our industry partners on the new submissions and endorse accordingly.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE EARLY APPLICATION AND REGULAR APPLICATION PERIOD?
The primary difference is the timeliness of the endorsement to partners. Most partners would immediately review and reach out to those who are endorsed during the Early Application period. Though we will still endorse during the Regular Application period, there is a possibility that some partners have already fulfilled their slots. In both periods though, the student can apply on their own regardless of the schedule.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR INTERNSHIP?
If you are a regular student, you can follow the Internship schedule on your degree program's curriculum.
To know more about the Internship Schedule, please refer to our Internship Primer for College (see 14. Internship Period): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cdyE6kQiBfrS6azAhVKHGkYFSIHyE9FhlIggZ42Kmm8/edit?usp=sharing

If you are an irregular student, you'll need to seek the approval first of your Program Coordinator, Chair, or Dean before enrolling in Internship. They have access to your curriculum details and are the best people who can guide you on when to take internship.
Questions that you may ask your faculty during advising period:
1. Have I taken the required prerequisite subjects for internship?
2. Am I allowed to take internship simultaneously with other subjects? Or do you recommend for me to take internship separately?
3. How many subjects can I take alongside internship? What are these subjects?

Form 2.4 Internship Contract (self-generated through Gform) _WFH - Does not yet need to be Notarized, kindly edit first before signing. Also have the company sign first before submitting.

BS REM Fast Track students are not required to submit the Placement Documents. Documentary requirement will depend if you are a real-estate practitioner or non-real estate practitioner.
WHAT IF WE START EARLY, BEFORE THE 1ST DAY OF CLASSES? WILL OUR HOURS STILL BE CREDITED?
Yes, as long as you successfully enroll for the next term. Just be sure to take note of the hours you have rendered.
WHAT IF WE ARE NOT ACCEPTED AND PLACED BY THE 3RD WEEK OF THE TERM? WILL WE BE TAGGED AS FAILED?
a. The 3rd week of the term is the recommended period for you to start your Internship to ensure that you complete the required 480 hours within the term. However, the students are still allowed to continue looking for internship placements beyond the 3rd week, just keep in mind that you may need to extend beyond the term to complete the required hours.

You can submit your midterms once you have rendered half of the required hours and your finals once you have rendered the full required hours. However, if you will need to extend beyond the term, you have to submit an extension waiver form found in this Google Drive folder.

If you have already completed your required hours, you may opt to do the following:
If you are in your Internship 2, you can simply end your internship and submit your final requirements and wait for your grade at the end of the term.
If you are in your Internship 2 and you still want to continue, you can charge it to your professional experience but be sure to submit the final requirements within the finals week.
If you are in your Internship 1, you can opt to continue and coordinate with your supervisor if you can render the excess hours as part of Internship 2, if you are continuing in the same company. Please be sure to inform your Internship Coordinator as well so they can guide you accordingly.
