Created by Innersloth, the new and ever popular, Among Us, is a game of communication, duplicity and craftiness. At its core, Among Us players are placed in two categories: crewmates and impostors. The crewmates have to complete tasks and survive in order to win. Some tasks include fixing wiring or trash chutes, as well as cleaning engines. While crewmates work together to complete tasks, the impostor team, anywhere from one to three players, works against the crewmates, eliminating them one by one. If all tasks are completed by crewmates before an imposter is able to eliminate them, the crewmates are victorious. Although, if enough crewmates are eliminated, leaving an equal number of crewmates and impostors, then the impostors claim victory.

Unlike the crewmates, impostors have fake tasks made to look like real tasks. Impostors can also sabotage the oxygen level, the electric, or the reactor. At specific points in the game, such as when a body is located, a report is filed and an emergency meeting is called with the remaining players. A Survivor, living players can vote to remove other players. During the voting process, crewmates work together to spread truthful information while imposters do their best to extend confusion and create chaos. A player who is voted off will become a ghost and will not be able to interact with people any longer.

There are many different colors, hats, and costumes to choose from as well as three game maps to select: the Skeld, Mira HQ, and Polus. Players also have the option to pick 1 to 3 impostors for any game.

This game took a team of three people, Forest W., Marcus Bromander, and Amy Liu, over the course of one year to develop.. Among Us was released on Steam and surpassed Marvel Avengers: Time To Assemble and has a whopping 85 million downloads. Although the game has just gained much popularity, the game has actually been available since 2018. The game has been found entertaining and action packed for many and is a great way to kill boredom.
