Netflix and Chill: Hot Cocoa and Holiday Cheer!

Who couldn’t use a holiday film filled with family, friendship, love, and laughter right about now? Well, the holiday season is upon us and with that come the holiday films. Some new streaming holiday flicks worth your time are: Jingle Jangle- A Christmas Story, The Princess Switch: Switched Again and Christmas Chronicles 2, in addition some oldies but goodies you might have missed.
Jingle Jangle is a story about a toymaker and his granddaughter making an invention that could change their lives forever. The movie stars Forest Whitaker as Jeronicus Jangle, the toymaker that becomes pessimistic after personal losses. Madalen Mills is Journey Jangle, the cheerful granddaughter of the toymaker she wants to be like her grandfather when she grows up. Keegan-Michael Key plays a man that used to work for Jeronicus. Anika Roni plays Jessica Jangle, the loving mother of Journey Jangle. There are many more amazing people in this cast. Jingle Jangle was released on Netflix on November 13th.
The Princess Switch: Switched Again is about two identical women who are not actually related and meet each other in a kingdom. One of them is a baker and one of them is part of a royal family. The cast is Vanessa Hugdes plays as the Dutchess, Stacy De Novo she is identical to Olivia Richards although they are not related. Alexa Odeosun plays Olivia Richards, the baker who gets an invitation to compete in a baking competition in the royal kingdom, who later meets Stacy De Novo who looks exactly like her. Sam Palladio plays the prince who is marrying Stacy De Novo. Nick Sagar plays Olivia's boyfriend. There are so many more people in this cast and all of them are amazing. The movie’s release on Netflix was November 19th.
The Christmas Chronicles 2 is about a girl who reunites with Santa Claus when someone threatens to ruin christmas. The movie is starring Kurt Russel as Santa Claus. Darby Camp plays as Kate Pierce who is the little girl who is reunited with Santa Claus. Judah Lewis plays as Teddy Pierce who is Kate’s brother who also joins on their journey to save Christmas. Kimberly Williams-Paisley plays as Teddy Pierce and Kate Pierce's mother in the movie. The film’s release date is November 25th.
If you missed any of these movies from previous years, Netflix is bringing them back for the holiday season. Check out: Get Santa, Klaus, both animated Grinch and live action Grinch and The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. All of these movies are fun to watch with family and friends over the holidays and will help to get the festive season started.
