Milford Carnival Update
Details for carnival day are as follows: Please meet Miss Colligan and staff at the bottom of Observatory Avenue in Hakin at 12.30pm. The procession will begin at 1.00pm, please arrive promptly so we can organise positions and the float. We have had a wonderful number of children sign up to take part in the carnival therefore we will prioritise the younger children on the float itself with the older children, or any that wish to, walking the procession. If you feel your child will not be able to walk the full distance, please speak to Miss Colligan beforehand so that we can ensure your child can be on the float itself.
A small reminder also that on the day you will be responsible for your own child. If your child will be walking unattended then please ensure an adult is at the designated meeting point, outside Salt, on Milford Marina, at 2.45pm ready to meet your child again.
A reminder that the theme is Noah’s Ark so we welcome participants to dress up as animals in any form they wish, we don’t expect families to go out and spend money on costumes, participants can be as creative as they wish. Our parent volunteers have been working hard to create decorations and props for the float and we can’t wait to see it all come together!

Easter Enterprise Fair
A huge thank you to those who attended our Easter Enterprise Fair in school today. It was wonderful to see so many families and friends coming in to support our learners in their efforts. Across the school pupils brainstormed product ideas, planned, budgeted and created their products. A fantastic £608 was raised which will go towards providing educational experiences in the Summer term and the continuation of developing our outdoor learning areas.
The Big Lent Walk
A huge thank you to all those parents and families who have supported us on recent weeks during our Big Lent Walk. We have so far raised £440 for CAFOD Last Friday we celebrated the end of our Big Lent Walk for CAFOD by walking as a whole school to the Rath in Milford Haven. Unfortunately due to the weather we were unable to share a picnic but we did celebrate with some ice lollies whilst we rented in the Water Gardens! A huge thank you to all the families who joined and helped us with our walks. We greatly appreciate your support.
If we continue walking to Easter and raise donations during Holy Week our school could be in with the chance of winning a £50 gift voucher so if you haven’t sponsored our walks yet please sponsor us here:
Goodwick Easter Egg Hunt
Pembrokeshire Family Information Service have been working hard alongside the schools within the Fishguard cluster to create a "Cracked It", Egg Hunt alongside the Sea front in Goodwick.
We asked that each school decorated a large wooden egg for us to display, which we have then added a letter to. Using each letter, the children will then need to rearrange them to find the hidden word. The aim is for children to participate in our Egg Hunt event.
We hope that children beyond the Fishguard Cluster would like to get involved over the Easter holidays and would appreciate your support in advertising this event. The eggs will be displayed for the whole 2 weeks (10/04 - 28/04). Once we have removed the eggs, and collected all entry forms after the children have returned to school, the winner will be announced. We have attached the entry form and map. You are also able to complete online using the QR code on the map or following this link- (https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=nhFWTjDyzkiRDQOk7bXnHMb3lvBLKmBAhbW5OtUXxLlUQjVLNzg2UDVaRDlUVTlNREEyQTExVUpCUS4u&route=shorturl).
