Expressive Arts
The Area of Learning and Experience of Expressive Arts includes five disciplines: art, dance, drama, film and digital media and music.
Each discipline has its own discrete body of knowledge and skills, but they share the creative process.
At Rhyl High school these subjects are taught separately by specialist teachers. However, the skills developed will be complimentary and the work produced will address the same exploration questions.
Year 7 - Unit 1
Who am I? What do I know? What can I do?
In this unit pupils will explore the elements within the Expressive Arts through a variety of creative and practical experiences. They will explore their own skills and evaluate their strengths and areas for improvement. Pupils will have the opportunity to work with external specialists and watch live performances. They will work towards a final showcase where they will perform and exhibit their work.
