Star of the week
Riley-James - Riley has returned to Module 5 with a positive attitude and is ready to learn! He has demonstrated his knowledge in maths with our work on doubles and odd and even numbers. He is reflective in his writing and is beginning to extend his sentences in Drawing Club. Fantastic job Riley!
Parisi - Parisi has shown amazing progress in her reading this module. Using her phonics knowledge, she is able to read a range of words and sentences independently. Well done Parisi!
Thea - Thea has continued to develop her communication skills by broadening her vocabulary. She will always ask the meaning of words if she doesn't already know it. She is very inquisitive and is keen to learn. Thea is also working hard to develop her independent writing, reflecting on feedback given to her. Well done Thea!
Caleb - Caleb has been extremely reflective this week in his writing. He is re-reading his sentences to ensure they make sense and editing his work where necessary. He is challenging himself to write more detailed sentences using more than one idea to add interest. Well done Caleb!

Thomas - Thomas has been a fantastic communicator this module across all lessons. He is able to articulate his knowledge and thinking well using a growing range of challenging vocabulary. Thomas continues to demonstrate all of the learning profile attributes and is an asset to Bumblebee Class. Well done Thomas!

Teddy - Teddy has started Module 5 with an enthusiasm to learn. He has demonstrated his excellent communication skills and how open-minded he can be when constructing Mr Gumpy's motor car with his peers. Teddy is displaying what a thinker he can be in his writing and phonics lessons. Well done Teddy!
Jenson - Jenson is an extremely knowledgeable member of the class. He applies his thinking skills to all areas of his learning. Jenson is a fantastic communicator and can explain his thinking clearly with his peers and the adults. Well done Jenson!
Roman - Roman has been communicating his ideas during drawing club and he has been displaying his knowledge of various forms of transport past and present. Roman has particularly displayed the caring aspect of the learner profile attributes this week too. Well done Roman!
Maddison - Maddison consistently demonstrates all of the learner profile attributes. She is extremely caring, kind and thoughtful, as well as being a knowledgeable and reflective learner. Maddison always tries her best in all of her learning areas and is growing in confidence to share her ideas with the class. Well done Maddison, keep being a star!

Roman - Roman has started Module 5 with a ready-to-learn attitude. He has been working extremely hard on his reading applying his phonics knowledge. This has resulted in moving up a reading level. Keep up the hard work Roman!
George-Leon - George has been a great role model for his peers this week. He has worked hard in phonics lessons and used new sounds in his writing. George has also written a fantastic fact-file about lavender using conjunctions and ambitious adjectives. Well done George!
Emmeline - Emmeline is a very principled learner. She is always a great role model for her peers. Emmeline has written an interesting and informative fact-file about lavender. She has used conjunctions and amazing adjectives. Well done Emmeline!
Bella - Bella has been very knowledgeable this week with her phonics, she was able to apply the 'ere' sound to her writing. She has also been very principled and caring towards her peers. Well done Bella!

Adora - Adora has settled in beautifully and has been an excellent communicator in our class discussions and already made great connections with her peers. We are so pleased to have a kind, caring and reflective star learner in our class. Well Done Adora!
Archie - Archie is a great role model in class and out of class and an absolute pleasure to teach. This week, we are super proud of his factual sentences in English, his excellent understanding of language and layout features of a fact file. Well done Archie!
Holly - This week, Holly has been an excellent communicator and reflective with her learning. She has been working really hard in her writing and phonics and we are pleased to see how much progress she has made this year. We are so proud of you Holly! Well done!
Rhys - From the beginning of Year 1, Rhys has been an amazing role model and consistent star learner. His positive attitude to learning and kindness is truly amazing; we are super impressed with how much you continue to share your knowledge and kindness with everyone around you. Well done Rhys!

Amber - For being a risk - taker in your writing by having a go before asking for help. It has been great to see your confidence and independence develop.
Harley - For being a Risk-Taker by settling in well into Lizard Class. It has been great to see you make friends and develop your confidence in class, especially as it can be scary starting a new school. Well done!

Bertie - This module, it has been great to see Bertie developing his communication skills. Not only has Bertie been asking to speak to a variation of adults within the school, he has also developed his communication skills by asking for help when he is in the classroom. Keep it up Bertie!

Harley - Harley has been a reflective learner this week. He has returned to school with a positive mindset and has listened to feedback given to improve his work. Keep up the good work Harley.
Aidan - Aidan has been a risk taker this week by using adventurous and expressive language in his diary entry. Aidan's bold word choices brought his writing to life. Keep up the good work Aidan.
Emily - A big congratulations to Emily for settling in so well to Adder Class! She has shown a fantastic attitude by asking thoughtful questions and showing curiosity about her new environment, a true Inquirer! Well done, Emily!
Elijah - Elijah has been a reflective learner this week. He has shown great maturity in listening to feedback and using it to improve his writing. Well done, Elijah keep up the fantastic work!

Aura - Aura has consistently shown what it means to be a principled and caring member of our class. She always does the right thing, even when no one is watching, and treats everyone with kindness and respect. Aura takes time to think deeply about her actions and learning, showing real reflection and a desire to grow. She supports others with empathy and is always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. Her calm presence and thoughtful nature make her a true role model. Wonderful work, Aura!

Darcie - Darcie has shown a fantastic attitude towards her learning this week. She has tried her best in every lesson, taken risks, and shown a real commitment to improving herself in all that she does. She has been principled and has set a wonderful example - not just for her peers, but for all children across the school.
Parker - Parker has been a risk taker this week. He has attempted a number of challenges independently as well as reflecting on his own work. He used a number of skills such as communication, social and thinking skills, during his DT session when he was working in a group to build a bridge. Well done Parker.
Amelia - Amelia has worked really hard this week whilst being reflective and a risk taker, especially in her English work and writing an Instructional text. Amelia has also been caring and helped support other pupils in her class. Well done Amelia.
Noah - Noah has worked extremely hard this week. He has been a risk taker and attempted to complete his learning independently. He has reflected on his work when he has made a mistake. He has also developed his social skills when working in a small group.

Ellie-Rose - Ellie has been a great thinker this week while reading at home everyday. She has started to enjoy reading longer pieces of text and becoming more confident talking about what she has read. Well done Ellie - Keep turning those pages!

Nathan - Nathan has returned this module with a fantastic attitude to his learning; he has been a brilliant thinker and communicator particularly during our reading and writing sessions. Nathan has made some great inferences when predicting, drawing on what we have been learning and his prior knowledge. It has been wonderful to see Nathan be so confident when sharing his ideas with the class and he has had made many valuable contributions this week. Well done Nathan, we are very proud of you!
Daisy - Daisy has been a great inquirer this week; she has been making meaningful connections during our writing lessons to our class reading book. She has been extremely engaged in our text and has been a fantastic communicator. It has been lovely to see how eager Daisy is to share her thoughts and ideas around our Space topic and we have loved hearing them develop throughout the week. Keep up the great work Daisy, well done!
Jacob - Jacob has been a fantastic communicator this week; he has been joining in on class discussions and has made some valuable contributions to them. Jacob has also been a very reflective learner and has worked incredibly hard with his presentation of his written work. He is always polite and kind to his peers and loves to make people laugh. Well done for being a brilliant role model Jacob!
Lily - Lily has been incredibly helpful this week and has been eager to help both the adults around her as well as her peers. She is always wanting to show how caring she is and is extremely well-mannered to all those around her. Lily-Rose - Lily-Rose has been a brilliant communicator this term; it has been lovely to see her be more confident to share her thoughts and ideas during our class discussions. Lily-Rose has also worked incredibly hard in PE and has showcased an amazing ability in cricket. She is always principled and is helpful to both her peers and the adults she works with. Well done for being a fantastic risk-taker this term and for always being such a helpful member of Kestrel class.

Billy - Billy has worked hard this week to settle back into all his lessons enthusiastically and working independently to demonstrate his understanding. He has given excellent reasoning in his maths work and created a diary entry in his writing with lots of detail. Well done Billy!
Dogan - Dogan has demonstrated a principled attitude in his learning this week, especially in English. He has also persevered in maths with some challenging fractions questions. Well done Dogan, keep up the hard work.
Rosie - Rosie has demonstrated her knowledge and reflected on her learning this week as she has prepared for her end of year assessments. She diligently approaches all her work with a positive attitude and is always curious to learn more. Well done Rosie!
Emile - Emile has worked diligently all week in his assessments, demonstrating his knowledge and perseverance. He has shown he can think carefully about complex maths problems as well as be reflective by checking his work. Well done.
