Thunberg class has made a very positive start to the academic year.
We have completed lots of research to allow us to see the way that the rights and responsibilities of individuals can differ widely depending on when and where you were born, in line with our inquiry.
In PE, we have been working on teamwork and leadership skills whilst completing OAA. Alongside this, we have been able to learn Tag Rugby from the secondary PE team. We have practised our rugby skills over the last six weeks and this has resulted in us playing matches within the class.
We have also enjoyed both science and drama lessons over at the secondary school. In science, we have been looking at the physical changes that happen to humans as they grow and adapt. Whilst in drama, the pupils have been using various acting methods to convey their ideas. The pupil’s have made an excellent impression on all the secondary staff that have taught them with their positive attitudes to learning.
In Art, we have been looking at perspective and this has culminated in some excellent sketches of our local area using both the horizon and vanishing points to support the perspective of our sketches. Well done Thunberg class, you have made an excellent start to your Year 5 learning journey.
