For many years I have put up a "nerd" mini Christmas tree, first in my office at HSU, and then after my retirement, at home. My office trees were usually seedlings harvested on our back hill at our home in Bayside, CA. My home trees in West Sacramento have been artificial trees from Target. In each case most of the ornaments have been scientific apparatus or components of scientific instruments I collected over decades of lab work, repair etc., plus a few items of personal interest from my career in science and technology.
