Personalise one of two pathways
At Humanitas, we support each student, in partnership with families, to co-design the senior pathway that suits them best. Selections are made within two main tracks:
IB Diploma Programme (IBDP);
IB Career-related Programme (IBCP)
Personalised senior pathway negotiated between student, families and school, which includes:
Any externally offered VET qualification e.g. TAFE, or
Certificate III in Visual Art offered internally at Humanitas.
Learning in Years 11 and 12 at Humanitas carries on from our three curriculum components in Years 7 to 10: curriculum offerings; individual projects; and community projects.
In the IB Diploma Programme (DP), students select six discipline-based subjects; design an Extended Essay individual inquiry; explore Theory of Knowledge; and engage in Creative, Active, and community-linked Service experiences of their choosing.
In the IB Career-related Programme (CP), students select three to four discipline-based subjects and Career-Related Studies (VET qualification). This is supported by core inquiries towards an individual Reflective Project, Personal and Professional Skills, Language and Cultural Studies, and Community Engagement. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Humanitas is able to offer a Certificate III in Visual Arts on site, as an in-house option for Career-Related Studies. Beyond this, there are a huge number of VET qualifications offered with external providers, e.g. TAFE.
Plus a Career-related studies programme negotiated to suit your interests and aspirations, such as:
Certificate II, III or IV in area of interest - at external provider off-campus
Certificate III in Visual Arts - internally at Humanitas
University at School Head Start subjects
Any other options also negotiable
