How do we know what we know?
Be prepared to recognise your own assumptions, spot bias and misinformation, and enrich your appreciation of multiple perspectives.
This unique subject challenges learners to question the sources and basis of their own and others' knowledge. You'll consider your personal methods for accessing, verifying and sharing knowledge, and how these are impacted by the various communities of knowers to which you belong. We'll also explore how knowledge is approached in very different ways in the different knowledge areas humans have developed throughout history, from artistic to historic to scientific.
How do we as knowers, in communities of knowers, gain, evaluate and share knowledge?
How do definitions of knowledge, and approaches to it, differ in different areas?
