This months focus is Kindness towards our Earth and environment. 4th and 5th grade students have had a wonderful opportunity to sort, weigh and measure cafeteria food waste. Several students have been working with Mrs. Liz and coming up with ideas to reduce cafeteria food waste. One of their solutions is composting. in one week we were able to reduce food waste by 60%! Way to go Team! :)
This month we have started a new learning experience about different mindsets. This months mindset is on acceptance. We are learning about our differences and similarities and how to accept and include others in our activities.
This time of year we have a mix of warm and cold days and more often cold mornings and warm afternoons. Please make sure your child is prepared for the change in temperatures. We go outside daily!
LABEL,LABEL,LABEL! The lost and found is already getting filled with wonderful articles of clothing. Please label your child's gear to ensure that what they bring to school also comes home. - Thank you!
Hello Families,
We are entering the Month of May and coming into our final Month together as a class. Feels like every school year goes by faster and faster. This one was no exception. May should be a fun month for the kids. We have been working on Poetry, starting our Immigration Unit, and Gearing up for track and field. The boosterthon will be the perfect training! Speaking of the Boosterthon, thank you so much for registering your child and helping support our school. We have already won 4 class rewards! Keep up the good work! And keep your fingers crossed that we will have warm weather come race day!
Have a wonderful Weekend,
Mrs. Judge
