Supporting structured, safe, ethical and person-centred pharmacy training

Welcome to the Community Pharmacy Field Training and Practice-Based Education Portal at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The Hashemite University, Jordan.

The portal was developed to provide an integrated and accessible framework connecting university-based education with supervised community pharmacy practice. It supports students, external preceptors and faculty members throughout Community Pharmacy Field Training 1 and Community Pharmacy Field Training 2.

The portal brings together approved training manuals, workplace-based learning activities, required forms, schedules, communication pathways, preceptor guidance, educational resources and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) preparation materials within one coordinated digital platform.

Through this system, students are supported in translating pharmaceutical knowledge into responsible professional practice, including safe medication use, patient counselling, clinical reasoning, ethical decision-making, effective communication and person-centred care.

How to Use This Website

This website is designed to help students, external preceptors, and faculty members easily access all materials related to Community Pharmacy Field Training.

For Students

1. Open the relevant training page:
   Community Pharmacy Field Training 1 or Community Pharmacy Field Training 2.

2. Download and read the training manual before starting field training.

3. Visit the Forms and Documents page to download the required forms, such as attendance records, logbooks, and evaluation forms.

4. Check the Announcements page regularly for updates, deadlines, OSCE schedules, and important instructions.

5. Use the Student Attendance and Leave Requests page to report absence, late arrival, or request permission to leave the training site.

6. Review the OSCE Preparation page for sample stations, counseling checklists, and assessment guidance.

For External Preceptors

1. Visit the External Preceptor Guide page to review your role and responsibilities during student training.

2. Use the Forms and Documents page to access attendance records, mid-training feedback forms, and end-of-training evaluation forms.

3. Provide students with feedback during the training period using the Mid-Training Feedback Form.

4. Complete the End-of-Training Preceptor Evaluation Form at the end of the training period.

5. Report any concerns related to attendance, professionalism, performance, or patient safety through the approved form or communication channel.

For Faculty Members

1. Use the website to access training documents, forms, schedules, and announcements.

2. Monitor updates related to field training, OSCE preparation, student submissions, and preceptor communication.

3. Refer students and external preceptors to the appropriate pages when guidance or forms are needed.
