Abstract: Several studies reveal the challenges faced by healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The researcher of this study felt the need to continue with further research because there is a lack of representation of specific healthcare workers’ opinions. This paper elaborates on Pittsburgh hospital workers’ perspectives on feelings that they are experiencing on a daily basis. The sample consisted of 24 healthcare workers from a variety of careers. A survey was given to them, using a snowball sampling method. The survey questions were similar to the research study conducted by The Joint Commission that also looked into how hospital workers perceive the COVID-19 pandemic. The main findings were the following: 1.) Stress and exhaustion are the most common feelings expressed by all of the healthcare workers; 2.) Age does not correlate with the exhaustion level, but the number of hours worked does; 3.) The healthcare professionals that work in the intensive care unit tend to want to switch their career path more than the other participants. Although these findings were significant in answering the researcher’s research question, further research could still be conducted. This may include more in depth research on intensive care unit workers due to their feelings and opinions on the pandemic seemed to be more strong than the other participants.
