The Atomic Decision

How should we remember dropping the Atomic Bomb? You will create a memorial of the end of WWII by selecting and explaining an primary source image (from a list).

  1. Read the two Historic Narratives and the Primary Source documents and highlight in one color points that support Japanese perspective "Hiroshima as victimization (or Tragedy)" and highlight in another color points that support the American perspective "Hiroshima as Triumph (Victory)".
  2. Select one image from these pre-selected images and complete the "Memorial Decision" form (make a copy).
  3. Post the Memorial Decision Form and Your Image Choice on the class timeline.
