What makes a character interesting and engaging? Discussion together
WAIHANGA - Create - to act:
Have a go at designing the main characters in your story. Remember there should only be 3 or 4 as we are doing short films. Think about:
+ Facial features - over exaggerate them!
+ Colours
+ Body types
list your characters, make notes about their characteristics - happy, sad, short, tall, gender etc.
If you are working in groups, assign each person with a character to make. You can also make props. You will have one more lesson after this to create your characters, and then we are into filming your stop motions.
+ Camera (chrome book)
+ our characters
+ a story line to follow
+ back drop
Each movement MUST be photographed
Share - Tohatoha - spend some time photographing all your pieces for you film. These will be posted to your blog. Discuss the process of creating and how you worked as a team. What is your film about?
