All About Mrs. Foreman

Welcome! My name is Pamela Foreman and I teach Economics and Personal Finance at Hopewell High School. I am in my fourth year at Hopewell after coming from Virginia College where I taught accounting, business courses, computer courses and general education courses. Before that, I was a stay-at-home mom/Target employee.

My husband is a veteran of the United States Army so we spent a few years in Germany after leaving Texas, our home state. We then arrived in Virginia and love it here! I have three girls and a son and I'm a huge Doctor Who fan. I love music from the 70's and 80's as well as classical, violin, and jazz music. I'm a photographer on the side as well as a seamstress. I love to read, write (I've published three books), and swim. I love being outdoors and walking - I have participated in more races than I can count! I am recently graduated from Abilene Christian University in with my Education Specialist degree in Organizational Leadership and Emerging Technologies.

I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I have taught all ages from toddlers to adults and adapt my teaching strategies for the group I am with. I come with a background of working at a major university where I handled more than twenty different accounts with sums larger than one million each. I handled payroll, supervised students and managed the comings and goings of over twenty faculty members. I have been a PTA treasurer, president of a recreational softball association, church treasurer, Food Avenue team member, Guest Assistant and Photo Team Lead at Target and adjunct professor. I bring a loving and caring attitude to my classroom, letting students know the best I can that I do care for the success of each individual student.
