Kelly French

What is your current role and what are your primary responsibilities?

CT/Xray Technologist, I work at a hospital in the medical imaging department. I take xrays and CT scans for patients.

How did your career path evolve?

I changed my career after I had children. I worked as an archaeologist before I changed to working in healthcare. 

What advice would you give your past self about career planning?  about life planning?

I would say that it does not always go as planned and that is ok. If you are too set in what you think you need to do, you might miss other opportunities that could end up being a better fit. 

Who was your favorite teacher and why (and which class did they teach)?

Frau King! She was our German teacher. She made the class fun and was supportive of all her students in everyway possible, not just in her class but in all aspects of our lives.

What extracurriculars did you participate in and how did that shape your time at SPHS?

I was in theater. It was a great community that we formed together. Most of my best memories are from rehearsals and building sets, etc.

What advice would you give students to maximize their high school experience?

Don't judge others or yourself. Everyone is just trying to get through it. 

What are you most proud of since graduating from SP?

Going back to school as a working parent.

What are your favorite memories from your time at SPHS?

I loved every theater show I got to be a part of and the Masquerade Ball was a winner

What did you love about being a student at SP?

I love the friends I made and that we got to experience a lot of firsts as the original graduating class.
