The impact of our curriculum is measured through careful assessment against termly checkpoints. We strive to ensure that our children reach the Early Learning Goals at the end of Reception and to be in line with National Expectations. We endeavour for our children to be highly engaged in both child initiated and adult led activities. At pupil progress meetings and through ongoing professional dialogue we discuss progress and achievement of all pupils and put targeted interventions in place if needed.
Class teachers use observations to make formative assessments which inform future planning and ensure that all children build on their current knowledge and skills at a good pace. Our assessment judgements are moderated both within school and within the four schools collaboration.
The impact of our curriculum will also be measured by how effectively it helps our pupils to develop into happy, confident and empathetic individuals. Children who carry with them the knowledge and communication skills which will make them lifelong learners. We support our children to be Key Stage 1 ready and have an understanding of our school values by the time they leave EYFS.
