Stencils and Printing

Our inspiration for the beginning designs on the paper were take from images and paintings by Frank Stella.

The first step was to create design on a 9 x 9 piece of paper. We then cut stencils out of tag board and gently taped them onto the design. Students paid attention to the parts of the design they wanted to be exposed. Using printing ink students rolled a layer of ink over the entire picture. Stencils were peeled off and the result was the finished piece.
