Update: March 24, 2020

From Athletic Director Baker:

I hope you are all staying healthy and well, mainly by continuing to practice social distancing and training individually.

With school now being cancelled until at least May 4, the MIAA and all the Athletic Directors in the state are trying to come up with different ways we can still have a spring season. Those talks are still ongoing, but unfortunately, we have to wait and see how everything plays out before final decisions are made.

You can still have an impact on your teams by just checking in with your teammates, reminding them to remain positive, train individually and be ready for a possible return later this Spring. Let's do our best to stay hopeful, positive and connected, right now we need these things more than ever.

Thanks and please reach out if you have any questions and stay well.

Access to Public Fields

The DPH concludes that “restricting access to school buildings will have little impact on public health if these best practices are not followed in good faith.” In light of these recommendations, the Holliston Public Schools has CLOSED all fields and public playgrounds on its grounds and urges parents to cancel all “play dates” and any activities where children from different households gather together.

MIAA Update: March 16, 2020

March 16, 2020

The MIAA Board of Directors voted today, March 16, 2020, to amend the start of the 2020 spring sports season in light of recent mandates from Governor Baker and recommendations from governing health agencies. The updated start date for the 2020 spring season is April 27, 2020.

Additionally, the MIAA Board of Directors voted to have completion of regular season and tournament games by June 20, 2020 with consideration of June 21, 2020 for weather and facility needs.

Details regarding the structure of the spring season will be addressed by the Tournament Management Committee (TMC). An update will be provided and reviewed by the Board by March 25, 2020.

These decisions are based on available information and are made in the best interest of our student-athletes, schools and communities. These decisions will be revisited and adjusted as needed.

Thank you for your patience while dealing with this very fluid situation. Be well.
