You need to take attendance during the registration period (8:30-8:40) for your class.

Students normally tap their student card when they arrive school, so by 8:30am you should see their arrival time.
If the student tapped his/her card after 8:25am, he/she will be marked as "late" automatically by the system.
If the student is not in the homeroom by 8:30am, class teachers should mark "late" on eClass (even if the card is tapped).
Mark "absent" if you do not see a smart card tapping record and the student is not in the homeroom.
You will see the "Reason" entered by the general office if the student has applied a sick/special leave.
