What are Emotions? In this activity, we will be discussing what a feeling is, when we feel feelings, and how they change like the weather.

Lesson 4

What is a feeling? In this lesson, we talk about how things aren't feelings but things can make us feel something! For example, a cookie is not a feeling but it can make us feel happy.

For this lesson, we talk about how certain things might make us feel differently. For example, you might be happy that there is a snow day because you can play in the snow. You might be sad that there is a snow day because you forgot your snow pants at school. The assignment below gives examples of scenarios and different ways you could feel about it. Please tell me why you might feel that way.

Lesson 6

For this activity, we will talk about intensity which means how weak or how strong something is. We will work to figure out the order of the words elated, joyful, calm, and happy. For the assignment, I would like you to put the words in order and then color them from least intense to most intense.

For this activity, we will continue to talk about intensity but with the words annoyed, frustrated, angry and furious.

We will be talking about uncomfortable feelings such as worried, anxious, nervous and agitated, worried. For the activity, pick one of the four words and write or draw a story about a time that you have felt one of the feelings.
