First Quarter First Grade Art Projects:

Please email a photo of your work to Ms.Scharfenberg at ellen.scharfenberg@hillsboroschools.org or bring it to the elementary school front office. Any work that is not turned in can not be graded. Students will missing work will receive a / for a grade and a comment about the missing work.

Week 1 - Color: How can I use the color wheel in my art? Color Project

Week 2 - Value: How does adding black to white change the value? Value Project

Week 3 - Line & Pattern: I will learn about line and shape, so that I can use curved lines and different shapes to create a cat drawing in the style of Paul Klee with black oil pastel. Line Project

Week 4 - Shape: How can I arrange shapes to make a composition? Shape Project

Week 5 - Movement: What kind of lines imply motion? Movement Project

Week 6 - Fall: How can I create leaves using symmetry? Fall Project

Week 7 - Farms: How can I use shapes to a make cow? Why do artists use different colors? Farm Project

Week 8 - Art & Music: I will learn about value, so that I can paint many shades of grey on my wolf by mixing white with black on my paper.
