Course Description: This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of arc welding fundamentals, welding safety, arc welding machines, electrode classifications, and electrode selection. Students learn skills that are necessary to make high-quality shielded metal arc welds in the flat and horizontal positions utilizing single and multiple-pass fillet and groove welds. Students are also introduced to oxyacetylene cutting.
