Construction Craft Preparation Program
Location: SCI Training and Innovation Center in Litchfield
Time: M-F; 1:00 - 3:00pm

Triple Credit: Students earn high school credit, ILCJATP registered apprenticeship program credit and community college credit.
Course Description: The Construction Craft Preparation Program will provide educational activities both within the classroom and within a supervised work setting, allowing the students to become more knowledgeable and competent in the skills of a Construction Craft Laborer. Planned learning experiences will allow the students to gain knowledge of the basic fundamental principles of a Construction Craft Laborer and allow them to develop basic technical skills in many different areas.

Course Description: Building Trades provides instruction on basic and some advanced building construction. The class is comprised of both classroom and lab work. Upon completion of the course, the student should be proficient in many of the building construction trades and qualified for an entry-level job in the trades. All students are required to wear safety glasses, boots, and proper clothing. The instructor will provide instructions on other needed materials (tools, hats, gloves, etc..)
