This is a mural that all of the students made that represents the trip to Anza Borrego. The trip we went on was only for one night, but there was so much going on. There was a small, but steep, hill that we climbed both days, and at one point we even threw the frisbee off the edge. My panel included a camel and a part of the hill that was there. I'm not the best when it comes to painting, so doing it made me impatient because I just wanted to get this thing done as fast as possible. However, my work paid off and I got to look at the whole mural with my slice in it, and it looks absolutely gorgeous!
This project was a part of the Cuyamaca trip we went on. I did the panel on the far bottom right corner with the 2 people. They are 2 of my friends, and their names are Max and Clarke. We all went backpacking together with other classmates to Granite Springs threw the frisbee with Chet. As I mentioned with the Anza Borrego mural, I am not very good at painting, but since this was a geometrical mural, there were lots of smaller areas to paint which were really difficult.
This documentary reflects on the trip to Cuyamaca. I interviewed Roger, a fellow classmate, and asked him questions about how the trip was going so far. With each question came a very detailed response. He was very cooperative and gave me thorough explanations and descriptions about how his experience was, what his favorite moments were, and some other events that went on during the trip. I even got a good answer as to how he thought about the backpacking trip and what the hardest part of it was.
This documentary reflects the trip to Anza Borrego. For this one, there wasn't just one person I interviewed. I went around the campsite at night asking people what they thought of the food, specifically the pasta, and they all said it was not that bad. I even asked Chet to describe it in three words, and he said, "Delicious, creamy, satisfying," clearly stating that he liked it. Also, all the shots taken were on the same night since the trip was only for that period of time.
The Epic Article was a reflection on our trip to Cuyamaca. I my first paragraphs were anecdotes, the middle paragraphs were what actually went on and happened during the trip, and the final paragraph was what I took away from the experience. It was nice reading it myself because it felt like I was in an immersive experience and I could picture myself being there again.
This is the physics poster Ashton, a fellow classmate, and I created. We made a 3D model of the ropes course we went to in Orange County and created a rough draft of swaying platforms. Our final model was the very beginning of the course, where you climb up a rope ladder, then a little of the rock wall, and up onto the catwalk.
This triangle slice represents a portion of Liberty Station we were going to go explore. The green trail shows the path we took, and we recorded statistics as well during our stops we took. I measured step count on this one instead of Body Battery.
This was a math project that shows a statistic throughout our hike in Mission Trails. The statistic I used was called Body Battery which is a feature on a Garmin watch that measures heartrate and stress levels to figure out how much energy you have. This feature kept going down and down because I used a lot of energy on the hike, so the graph clearly shows it going down pretty fast.
All of us as classmates wrote horror stories that started off as 2 sentence horror stories and branched off into an entire writing piece. For a higher grade, we were to share those stories around the campfire during the trip. I based mine off a dad joke, and I was shocked to see how scary it turned out considering its root. Most people were very reluctant to share, so I'd say some people actually enjoyed reading their scary stories to everyone.
