This was one of the projects I did in the first semester. I was in a group with a few other people, and we created an acto (similar to a skit, like a 10-minute play) based off the topic Fitting In/Betrayal. Our goal was to create a dramatic exaggeration using a play for reference, but by implementing our topic, people could understand the context of our play, even while speaking Spanish (we had a few small bits of Spanish in our acto). This was something my team worked on for a great majority of the semester.

In our English class, we were assigned to find a social justice issue within our country we chose in Spanish class for a separate project. We had learned previously through a bunch of workshops that theater can be used to convey messages to the audience. Since I chose Guatemala as my country, I looked around for potential findings, and I came to find one to write about. I ended up writing a 5 paragraph essay on what I call, "Theater's Other Side" because of the many ways that theater can be implemented.
